In the footsteps of Polish Saints (6 days) St. John Paul II, St. Maksymilian Kolbe, St. Faustyna, St. Stanisław, St. Jacek, St. Jan Kanty.
Day 1.
Arrival at Kraków Airport named after the Pope St. John Paul II. Transfer from the airport to the hotel and time for a rest. Departure to Kraków Błonia Park, the site where the Pope was meeting with the faithful. Visiting the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Łagiewniki district of Kraków. This Sanctuary is dedicated to St. Faustyna and connected with St. John Paul II. A walk from the Old Town of Kraków to Wawel, the burial place of St. Stanisław from Szczepanów.
Day 2.
Departure to the nearby Kalwaria-Zebrzydowska. Sightseeing of its beautiful Baroque pilgrimage site with the Sanctuary of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, a UNESCO landmark. Free time and a possibility to have dinner. Visiting the Family House of the St. John Paul II St. in Wadowice. Return to Kraków. Going to the Dominican Monastery and the Holy Trinity Church where we visit the grave of St. Jacek. Return to the hotel. Free time and dinner.
Day 3.
Breakfast and departure to Oświęcim. Sightseeing of the former Nazi concentration and extermination camp, Auschwitz – Birkenau. Laying a wreath in memorial of St. Maksymilian Kolbe at his death cell in Block 11.
Visiting the St. Maksymilian’s Church. Going through the village of Kęty - the birthplace of St. Jan Kanty.
Departure to Kraków. Free time. Visiting a Baroque St. Ann’s Church with the grave of St. Jan Kanty.
A walk along the Franciszkańska Street. Other sites to see: the Palace of Kraków Bishops where you can see the famous ‘Papal window’, Main Market Square and the Basilica of Virgin Mary (St. Mary’s Church).
Day 4.
Breakfast. Departure to Kamień Śląski and sightseeing in the city of St. Jacek’s birth. A prayer and visiting the St. Jacek Sanctuary. Return to Kraków. Dinner and free time.
Day 5.
Breakfast and departure to Wieliczka. Visiting the ‘Wieliczka’ Salt Mine: a tour along the Pilgrims’ Route where you will see the magnificent underground Chapel of St. Kinga, the salt statue of the Pope St. John Paul II, a pulpit carved in salt and the copy of the Leonardo da Vinci’s painting ‘The Last Super’. Return to Kraków. Free time, for example for choosing souvenirs or having dinner in a restaurant.
Day 6.
Checking-out of the hotel, transfer to the airport and checking-in for the departure flight.
